Selected Historic Preservation Work
The Jacksonville Train Depot
Jacksonville, North Carolina, c. 1920

The Jacksonville depot was renovated in 1997 for BOLD of Jacksonville, a local historic preservation non-profit organization. Adrienne Lang's plans restored the exterior to its former glory and adapted the interior to use as an office for the organization. The building's integrity as an historic structure was maintained inside with the use of reproduction beadboard, mouldings, and other period details.

Where a loading platform for passengers and cargo once adjoined the depot, only a blank wall of vinyl siding remained (right). The new design incorporates the platform concept, but the rear pavillion is now used as a pavillion for weekly concerts.
